The situation: Second-and-11 at Giants 33
The play: Tony Romo throws a pass that bounces off Terry Glenn's hands and into the arms of defensive end Mathias Kiwanuka. He runs to the Giants 40 and tries to move the ball from one hand to the other and loses it. Sam Hurd recovers the fumble at the Giants 40 with 2:54 to play in the first quarter. |
2 | Henry's tough defense
The situation: Third-and-goal at Dallas 5
The play: Eli Manning finds Jeremy Shockey in the middle of the end zone, and Anthony Henry reaches around and knocks the ball down with his left hand with 4:35 left in the third quarter. Shockey wants a pass interference call, but the referees say the play was clean. |
3 | Giants miss interception
The situation: Third-and-4 at Giants 31
The play: Tony Romo, out of the shotgun, throws a short pass to the right side for Patrick Crayton. Safety Gibril Wilson jumps the route but lets the ball go through his hands. Crayton catches the ball at his waist for an 11-yard play with six minutes left in the fourth. Dallas later gets a touchdown to take a 20-13 lead. |
4 | Tiki tumbles downfield
The situation: First-and-10 at Dallas 40
The play: With two minutes remaining in the game, Eli Manning completes a screen pass to Tiki Barber, who gets touched by six players. Four players arm tackle him, but when Barber is finally tackled by Aaron Glenn and Keith Davis, it's a 28-yard gain to the Cowboys 12. New York ties the game two plays later. |
5 | Ramblin' Romo
The situation: First-and-10 at Dallas 32
The play: On the game-winning drive, Tony Romo experiences some pressure and scrambles to his left. Romo completes a pass to tight end Jason Witten between two defenders for a 42-yard play. The completion places the Cowboys in field goal position, and Martin Gramatica later makes a 46-yarder to win it. |
