WHY THE COWBOYS WIN
The Giants played a five-quarter game at Seattle on Sunday, lost and had
to make a cross-country trip home. The Cowboys, meanwhile, rested. Never
discount rest this late in the season. Drew Bledsoe threw for 312 yards
and a touchdown in the first meeting this season with New York and was
sacked only three times in 37 pass attempts. The Giants' pass defense is
vulnerable, and the Cowboys have to make plays through the air at some
point.

WHY THE COWBOYS LOSE
The Giants are 6-1 in the Meadowlands, and Eli Manning is a different
quarterback at home, where he has thrown 13 of his 20 touchdown passes.
Take away his four interceptions against Minnesota, and he's been
intercepted only four times on his home field. The Cowboys have not won
a meaningful late-season game at Giants Stadium since the 1993 season,
when they won in overtime to clinch the NFC East.

THE LAST MEETING
Cowboys 16, NY Giants 13 (OT)
Oct. 16 at Texas Stadium: Jose Cortez's 45-yard field goal on the
opening drive of overtime gave the Cowboys their first back-to-back
wins, but it was a game they should have put away earlier. The Cowboys
held the ball for 40 minutes, 46 seconds, had 25 first downs compared
with 11 for New York and gained 385 yards compared with 270 for the
Giants. But a final-minute defensive breakdown allowed the Giants to tie
the score on Eli Manning's 24-yard touchdown pass to Jeremy Shockey.
Unlike in the Redskins' game, the Cowboys rallied in overtime thanks to
a 26-yard completion to Jason Witten to the New York 23. Keyshawn
Johnson burned the Giants' secondary for 120 yards on eight catches, and
Anthony Henry picked off a Manning pass at the goal line in the third
quarter.
