NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The drama surrounding Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens made a few people forget about Terry Glenn.
Last week, Glenn cut his left thumb while trimming string off his shorts. He received six stitches and practiced with a bandage.
Coach Bill Parcells said he had no doubts about Glenn's ability to play against the Titans. He didn't miss practice and at midweek, Glenn joked about burning the offending scissors.
On Sunday afternoon, Glenn displayed no physical problems in catching five passes for 54 yards and two touchdowns in the victory over Tennessee.
Glenn is quarterback Drew Bledsoe's favorite target. Of Bledsoe's five touchdown passes this season, three have gone to Glenn.
"Terry is a guy, I've said it numerous times, is the best receiver I've ever thrown to, that's Pro Bowl and otherwise," Bledsoe said. "He's a great receiver. When he gets one-on-one coverage, it's almost impossible to cover him."
Through three games, Glenn leads the team with 15 catches for 229 yards.
Glenn's first score came on the Cowboys' second possession. Bledsoe found him near the corner of the end zone from 13 yards out, and the Cowboys had a 7-3 lead with 34 seconds left in the first.
Glenn said the pass sailed toward the sideline, but he had the confidence to get both feet in bounds after making the catch.
On the Cowboys' next possession, Bledsoe found Glenn in the back of the end zone and Dallas was up 14-3 with 12:43 remaining in the second quarter.
But Glenn wasn't Bledsoe's first read on the play. After Bledsoe looked for his second option, Glenn said he had to keep running around until he was spotted. Bledsoe's pass was on target, and Glenn jumped up to make the catch.
"It was a good game for our whole team," said Glenn, who got the third multiple-touchdown game of his career. "We wanted to come out there and establish ourselves as a dominant offense."

Most opponents are expected to defend Owens with double-teams or disguise man coverage before going into a zone.
Tennessee did that numerous times, but Glenn caught both his touchdowns in zone coverage. He gave a head fake to a defender before racing into the end zone to receive Bledsoe's pass on the first score. And he outran a defender for the second one.
The presence of Owens and a two-tight end set is supposed to clear the way for Glenn to make more plays.
"I hear people say that a lot," Glenn said. "I've caught plenty of balls in this league. I'm not saying T.O. doesn't attract double-coverage, but sometimes I'm able to get open on my own. I don't need other receivers and tight ends. I think I'm a pretty decent receiver. We just use everything to help each other."
