IRVING – The Cowboys announced Friday they will raise ticket prices for the first time in two years by nearly $12.
The average ticket price was $72.78 but now its $84.53 for the 2007 season. The increase is attributed to a 10 percent city of Irving Admission Tax that was added to all Texas Stadium events in August of last year.
Seating has been structured so fans can pick from 12 price options based on location.
Some ticket prices are down such as the upper level end zone where it's now $50 in comparison to last season when it was $53.
Tickets in the suites moved from $103 last year to $130. Lower level sidelines seats were $102 in 2006 and now cost $129.
■ Owens expected back: Receiver Terrell Owens is in Miami recovering from a second surgery on his right ring finger. Owens said he undergoes rehab three times a week. Owner/general manager Jerry Jones said Owens is expected to return to Valley Ranch next week when the team begins off-season conditioning.
Jones said Owens is progressing well in his rehab but doctors want to limit his travel so his hand doesn't endure any potential trauma. Owens is scheduled to get his cast removed next week and when he does so will remain in Dallas to visit with Jones and the coaching staff.
