Who's next for the Cowboys?

05:14 AM CST on Tuesday, January 23, 2007

By JEAN-JACQUES TAYLOR / The Dallas Morning News

Columnist Jean-Jacques Taylor gives his odds and comments on potential candidates for the Cowboys' head coaching position:

Les Miles (4-1)

Was an assistant in Dallas and won BCS game at LSU this season.

Norv Turner (6-1)

Never underestimate Troy Aikman's influence.

Wade Phillips (15-1)

Knows the 3-4 and has been head coach in Denver and Buffalo.

Pete Carroll (20-1)

Lure of America's Team might be enough to convince him to leave USC.

Mike Zimmer (25-1)

Defensive collapse might make him hard sell, despite relationship with Jerry.
