ARLINGTON – Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant and Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland made amends, at least publicly, before the game.

More: Dez Bryant talks about his meeting with Jeff Ireland

Ireland had already apologized for comments he made to Bryant during a predraft interview in which he asked the rookie if his mother was a prostitute. This was their first face-to-face meeting.

During pregame warmups, Bryant came over to the sideline where Ireland was chatting with Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones.

Bryant and Ireland shook hands, talked amiably for less than a minute and then Ireland patted the rookie on his chest before he ran back onto the field.

Bryant missed all five of Dallas' preseason games. He practiced Tuesday for the first time since July 30, when he incurred a high ankle sprain, and went through Wednesday's walk-through session.

He looked good Thursday night participating in full pregame warmups, including running routes. Owner-general manager Jerry Jones said Bryant is on course to play in the season opener at Washington on Sept. 12.
