Uptown's Linus boutique offers indie and edgy shoes for fall season through Nov. 1

Kristen Radakovich knows shoes. The aficionada lived in London before Dallas and was inspired by European shoe designs she saw on the streets and in boutiques; at one point, she even attended shoe-making classes.
When it came time to start her own business, she envisioned an intimate European-style salon where shoppers could escape and get personalized attention for their feet. A few years ago, she put her best foot forward and opened Linus to cater to the stiletto set in a houselike setting in Uptown (right above Kacky & Carl). She brings in new wares during limited seasonal periods.
You won't find the usual Blahniks and Choos at this intimate shop; look for indie and edgy numbers from notables such as Barbara Bui, Banfi Zambrelli and Dusica Dusica. Linus is open for fall through Nov. 1.
