Re: "Punished by PASAR – Plano ISD treated procrastinator parents like children, says Gina Perales Hethcock of Plano," last Thursday Community Opinions. I too stood in line, but my experience was extremely different. You see, I took notice of Program PASAR's multiple e-mail reminders during the summer about a registration deadline in order for children to start attending on the first day of school. My line was considerably shorter because I registered my child in early July. I was fortunate to have competent staff there who were able to make sure that all the contact numbers, the number of my preferred pediatrician and the driver's licenses of those allowed to pick up my child were all there. If I were in the same situation as Ms. Hethcock, I would have wanted to have someone come out to make sure that all my paperwork was in order before I got to the front of the actual line. The Program PASAR staff was totally professional, and not one of them could be referred to as the "PASAR Prison Camp Granny." Could it be that Ms. Hethcock should be lashing out at herself for procrastinating? Despite one citizen's viewpoint about their Program PASAR experience, I want to thank all of the staff who work to provide a quality after-school program for our children. My child loves attending Program PASAR. Suzanne Wilson, third-grade teacher, Mitchell Elementary, Plano My PASAR wait was different
