Re: "An answer in writing," by Sandra Smith, Sunday Letters.

Ms. Smith criticizes Barack Obama for not defining when life begins according to the Bible during the Saddleback Church forum. Interesting, though, that she didn't bother to call attention to John McCain's hypocrisy in supposedly being pro-life, yet supporting the death penalty, which is so quintessentially contradictory. It's like someone averring that they're a vegetarian while stuffing a T-bone in his or her mouth.

Last I checked, the Bible says: "Thou shall not kill." Of course, we're all used to many Southern Baptists who claim they respect the Bible, yet continually ignore the passages that fly in the face of their beliefs.
