The points made in Mr. McKenzie's column are well taken. However, he is far off base in citing Warren Buffett as an example of the wealthiest Americans benefiting within the present system. Mr. Buffett is a well-known supporter of tax fairness and an outspoken advocate of progressive taxation based on income levels. I'm sure if Mr. McKenzie had made the effort, he could have found many notable millionaire or billionaire types who work very hard at not paying any taxes at all.
