Re: "Jenny to stay put after all – Elephant not going to Mexico or Tennessee; protesters not happy," Thursday news story. I respect all animal rights deeply. That is why I absolutely love the idea of Jenny staying put in the Dallas Zoo. I thoroughly believe that it is the right thing to do for her. The decision respects the relationship Jenny has with her longtime handlers. It respects the fact that travel is very stressful for an animal. I completely trust the highly educated zoo director, Gregg Hudson. However, can we please get started sooner on the new habitat with an earlier finish date? Council members Angela Hunt and Mitchell Rasansky should organize a "Concerned Citizens for Jenny" building group to help with the new habitat to speed things along. I would be the first to sign up, because it would be good for Jenny, and that's all I care about. Martha Luke, Dallas Jenny needs new digs in a jiffy
