As I watched the Olympics, I saw such beautiful Chinese people applauding winners regardless of their nationality. China is one of the most beautiful countries on this planet – so rich in their history and accomplishments, yet their government chooses to oppress their people and their neighboring countries.

I must admit that I just don't understand this world that we live in today. I have lived a lot of years. I fought in a war that we could not win, and watched the world turn into a planet consumed with fear and hatred, but by the luck of the celestial draw, I was fortunate to be born in the U.S.A.

It is so refreshing to see the world come together every two years to play in the Olympic Games. I don't want to sound like Miss America, but I so long for world peace before I leave this world.
