Richardson-based MetroPCS Communications Inc. has signed a distribution deal with America's largest electronics retailer. Best Buy Mobile will offer handsets and calling plans at 200 store locations in the 14 markets the MetroPCS serves. "Best Buy Mobile will be a great expansion of our current distribution," said MetroPCS CEO Roger Linquist, speaking in a statement. Metro PCS offers unlimited cellular service for $30 to $50 a month, depending on whether customers want extra features like Internet access. The company does not subsidize its phones, but it does not require service contracts, either. All service is month-to-month. As of June 30, 2008, MetroPCS had approximately 4.6 million subscribers.
