AMR Corp., the Fort Worthbased parent of American Airlines, may sell up to $300 million in newly issued shares, the company said Friday in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The company, which has been hit by surging fuel costs, said it may use the proceeds to repay debt or to help purchase aircraft.
