East Rutherford, N.J.

Emmitt Smith suffered a separated shoulder in the second quarter, but he gutted out this crucial battle in the freezing, wind-torn Meadowlands for the glory of the Cowboys. He crashed and battered for 41 yards in the inspirational, winning overtime drive. His 42 combined rushes and receptions set a club record.
